Three years ago a few random chancers had a dream. "Hey!" we said. "Let's start a club, you know, and stuff. With music! And everyone who comes through the door gets whacked on the arse with the racing post. Works for the gays, the straights, the ladies ... even straight men like it. It reminds them of their dads."
Since then we've evolved the Playtime philosophy into something that sounds slightly more sophisticated. But really at the heart of it is a couple of friends who want to hear the kind of dirty jackin' house you hardly ever get in London - with the DJs that you usually have to ship in specially: David Duriez, D'Julz, Honey Dijon, Phonique, Tom Stephan, Paolo Mojo, Stompaphunk, Sancho Panzas, the Unabombers, Soul of Man, Tyree Cooper ... it goes on.
